
Nathan MacKinnon of the Colorado Avalanche won the Lady Byng Memorial Trophy as the NHL player who best combines sportsmanship, gentlemanly conduct, and ability on Friday. MacKinnon finished fifth in the NHL in points this season with 93. The center had 35 goals and 58 assists while only taking five minor penalties all season.

MacKinnon is the third player in Avalanche franchise history to take home the Lady Byng Memorial Trophy. This man is a human rocket and is absolutely electric on the ice. Well deserved for MacKinnon. Will this be the only trophy he takes home this season? We will see.
