The Wild and Sharks have agreed to a deal that will send the Wild a third-round-pick in 2021 in exchange for forward Ryan Donato. Donato was acquired in the deal that sent Charlie Coyle to Boston -during the 2018-2019 season. The 24-year-old had a tough time finding his place with the Wild last year, registering 23 points in 62 games. The two clubs are continuing to work on a separate deal that would send goalie Devan Dubnyk to the Sharks. Stay tuned.
Wild and Sharks are expected to announce a Ryan Donato trade within the hour; San Jose getting Donato for a third-round pick in '21.
Both teams also still working on a separate Devan Dubnyk deal which if completed would be announced later today.— Pierre LeBrun (@PierreVLeBrun) October 5, 2020
