Saturday, January 30th, 2021 will go down as one of the most memorable nights ever for four youngsters in the NHL.
On Saturday, all four players scored their first career NHL goal.
While down 3-2 late in the third period, New Jersey Devils forward Janne Kuokkanen scored to tie the game and send it to overtime. Kuokkanen was playing in his 20th career game.

Florida Panthers youngster Aleksi Heponiemi didn’t disappoint in his NHL debut either. Heponiemi scored the overtime winner for the Panthers against Detroit. Aleksi batted a saucer pass from Anthony Duclair to the back of the net for a beauty first NHL goal.

Saturday’s Nashville vs Tampa Bay game saw two youngsters bury their first career NHL tally’s. While tied at 1 apiece in the 2nd period, Cal Foote blasted home a one time pass from Sergachev to put the Lightning up 2-1.

While down 4-1, Mathieu Olivier banged home a rebound off Johansen’s shot on Vasilevsky, on the Power Play, to bring the Preds within two goals. Olivier was playing in his 14th career game and Foote was playing in his 4th career game.

Getting to play in the NHL will always be special, but scoring their first goals will make it even more special.
