Adam Gase Has Been Fired By The New York Jets

Adam Gase has been fired after two seasons as head coach of the New York Jets. Gase went an underwhelming 9-23 as head coach. General Manager Joe Douglas isn’t expected to be going anywhere. The Jets will have the number two overall selection in the upcoming NFL draft. The head coaching search is expected to be a lengthy and thorough search. The Jets will consider both candidates from college and NFL football.

The Jets had won two consecutive games before losing this week to the Patriots. If this were not the case, then the Jets would have likely got a jump start on looking for their new head coach earlier. Dan Mullen and Jim Harbaugh have both been mentioned in rumors with the Jets. Matt Campbell’s name will likely be floating around, although he declined to interview with the Jets two years ago for the coaching job. There is no surprise seeing Gase go with his awful record and lack of progress with young QB Sam Darnold. Jets fans, who do you think the new head coach of the Jets should be? Let us know.
