Earlier in the week, the Detroit Pistons and Blake Griffin agreed to a buyout. Now, Griffin will be linked up with the NBA’s newest big three for the rest of the season. Paired up with Kevin Durant, James Harden, and Kyrie Irving, Blake is expected to be a great roster addition. Although the Nets have some of the best shooters in the league, they lack in size.
Griffin has struggled this season, only averaging 12.3 points and 5.2 rebounds per game. Playing along 3 All-stars should give him a major boost though. Griffin was one of the most electric players in the league while paired up with Chris Paul. Now that he has Irving and Harden in the back-court, Griffin has that type of pairing again.

The Brooklyn Nets are currently 24-13 and second in the east. After losing Jaret Allen earlier this season, it was expected they would add more size. If the Nets were not already serious title contenders, they are now. With the size of Griffin and Durant and the skills of Irving and Harden, they will be hard to stop. Brooklyn is currently ranked 14th in the league for rebounds, so Griffin should help there. As long as their best players stay healthy, they have a great chance to win a championship. Their chances have improved because Blake Griffin signs with the Nets.
