Blue Jackets Rally From 3-0 Down To Crush The Leafs In OT

Pierre-Luc Dubois

The sweet sound of Leafs’ fans crying. What a comeback by the Blue Jackets in game three to take a 2-1 series lead. Toronto was leading 3-0 about half-way through the second period. That’s when Pierre-Luc Dubois stepped into the spotlight. He scored a hattrick, including the overtime winner, to complete the comeback. Seth Jones scored the other goal for Columbus. Toronto got their goals scored by Cody Ceci, William Nylander, and Nick Robertson. That was Robertson’s first NHL goal.

What a move by Dubois for the overtime winner. Seems like a staple that the Leafs blow a 3 goal lead in the playoffs, right? Always a great sight to see. I’m not biased. I just say the facts. Game four between these two will be tonight, August 7th, at 8 p.m EST. This will be a very intense game as Toronto looks to escape elimination. Is that going to happen? Will Columbus crush the Leafs dreams and make it 53 years without a Stanley Cup? It will be great to see.
