Bellator 268, which is scheduled to go down on Saturday, October 16th in the Footprint Center, Pheonix, Arizona, has lost an exciting bantamweight matchup.

Brett Johns vs. Erik Perez has been scrapped from the already stacked fight card, and the fight will no longer go ahead. Per Brett Johns’s Twitter, Erik Perez had suffered an injury in camp, forcing him to withdraw from the bout next week. The card rolls on as headliners Vadim Nemkov and Julius Anglickas aim to put on a show. The co-main event features two former UFC vets in Ryan Bader and Corey Anderson, who go toe to toe.

Bellator 270 for Brett Johns?

Brett Johns stated across his social media platforms that he had contacted Bellator to offer his services for Bellator 270 in Dublin, Ireland, on November 5th. Johns is hopeful he can fly to Dublin, Ireland, and make weight as a backup fighter for the main event between James Gallagher and Patchy Mix. If anything was to occur between both bantamweights headlining, Brett Johns is eager to jump straight in.

The 14-bout fight card that goes down in 3Arena consists of the Irish talent you’d expect to see, as Gallagher, Peter Quelly, Charlie Ward, Ciaran Clarke, Danni Neilan, Darragh Kelly, and Stephen Costello represent the SBG Ireland army on November 5th.

Bellator 270 Main Card

  • Patchy Mix vs. James Gallagher
  • Patricky Pitbull vs. Peter Queally
  • Charlie Ward vs. Norbert Novenyi Jr.
  • Daniel Weichel vs. Pedro Carvalho
