Bruins Complete Three-Goal Comeback to Beat Washington 5-3

Brandon Carlo

I feel like I’ve seen this game before. Oh, wait. It’s a different night. The Capitals found themselves in a familiar situation. They were up 3-0 in the second period over the Bruins for the second straight game. Also for the second straight game, the Bruins scored once in the second to go into the third period down 3-1.

In typical heart attack fashion from Boston, they rallied in the third period to tie the game midway through. Would we be seeing déjà vu with the game going to overtime? NOPE. Brandon Carlo rips one home top shelf with over two minutes left to give the Bruins the lead.

Brandon Carlo is elite you idiots. He is really showing his offensive side this season with Krug’s departure. His hot start is something to keep an eye on.

David Pastrnak scored his first of the season and added another goal for good measure. This is a great character win by this Bruins squad. Boston heads to Philadelphia on Wednesday while Washington heads to face the Rangers on Thursday.
