Chris Weidman and Uriah Hall are no longer competing in the co-main event at UFC 258 on February 13th. Early Friday news dropped that Weidman had tested positive for the Coronavirus. This test result will obviously take him out of training and has forced the 36-year-old to delay his return to the octagon. According to ESPN the plan right now is to reschedule the fight in April for UFC 261.
Weidman is looking to earn his second win in a row after defeating Omari Akhmedov in his return to the middleweight division last year. Weidman had previously beaten Hall prior to both fighters joining the UFC roster.
We wish Weidman a speedy recovery.
