When it comes to playing in big games, the College Football Playoff Clemson has tons of experience. Quarterback Trevor Lawrence is coming out to try and end his college football career with another confetti bath. He is looking to hoist the most prized trophy in college football. No. It’s not the Heisman. It’s the National Championship Trophy (again). Clemson has put the bulletin board material up as Dabo Swinney ranked Ohio State 11th in the coaches’ poll. A ridiculous claim that the Buckeyes will try to make him pay for in the Sugar Bowl. Although, the Buckeyes have never beaten the Tigers (0-4).

Clemson has been tested this year with the absence of Trevor Lawrence for multiple games due to COVID. Their defense got some much-needed difficult reps in that time. When Trevor Lawrence came back they were better because of it. Clemson will be without their offensive coordinator due to COVID, but this is an experienced offense with Lawrence and Travis Etienne to get the job done and win a Natty. Lawrence has tons of weapons on offense at wide receiver. The real question for Clemson is can they stop the Ohio State rushing attack that includes quarterback Justin Fields?
Ohio State is a team that is tough to judge because we don’t really know what they are. They only played six games and never did it with a full roster. OSU was missing 22 players when they played Northwestern in the Big-10 Championship. They will be getting two key players back and more additional players when they face Clemson in the semifinals. Star wide receiver, Justin Fields’s favorite target Chris Olave, will be back in the mix. Fields struggled without Olave and Clemson could be in big trouble if OSU’s offense can get back to where they left off before his absence. Another key returning player is linebacker Baron Browning. The star linebacker could be a key to try and slow down this Clemson offense in a game that has the feeling of a shootout.
Clemson coach Dabo Swinney doubles down on ranking Ohio State No. 11 in Coaches Poll, Buckeyes' #CFBPlayoff resume:

Clemson is a seven and a half point favorite over the Buckeyes. However, with OSU getting healthy at the right time it would not surprise me if this game comes right down to the wire. Clemson has the edge but the Buckeyes have all the tools to pull off the upset. The over-under is 66 1/2 points and my bet would be that this one goes over.
