Colorado wanted to make a statement and damn did they make a statement. After being embarrassed in game four to go down 3-1 in the series. Colorado had to go in full scramble mode to start this game. Usually, you see teams nervous when in these situations, but Colorado looked the opposite. They win this game 6-3 after riding high off of a five-goal first period. Pierre-Edouard Bellemare, Andre Burakovsky (two), Nathan MacKinnon, Nazem Kadri, and Mikko Rantanen scored for Colorado. Joe Pavelski, Miro Heiskanen, and Jamie Benn scored for Dallas.
If you're learning from home, here's a fun counting exercise:

Colorado went on an absolute tear in the first period. Five goals? Save some for the rest of us. Colorado also made headlines for substituting Pavel Francouz for Michael Hutchinson in the net. In his first career playoff start, Hutchinson backstopped Colorado to a win with a 31 save performance. Game six will be Wednesday, September 2nd, at 8 p.m EST. Will we have a game seven? We will have to wait and see.
