Vince Dunn signed a one-year, $1.875 million extension this offseason to stay in St. Louis. While most fans looked at this as a steal, the overall feel was that he might become trade bait. It seems like that time has come as the team has been actively talking to find a possible trade destination for the young defenseman.
Frank Seravalli: "Not inevitable but certainly seems possible [Vince Dunn could be on the move] given Berube's comments+ expected to be healthy scratch tonight. Told #StlBlues have engaged w/ teams in conversations on Dunn, his time may be done in STL, we'll see how that unfolds"

The team is looking for a first-round pick in return for Dunn. That’s a pretty high price for a potential rental. Any team that will look to trade for Dunn will likely look for an extension to go with it. Dunn will be looking for a pay raise next season.
If he ends up staying in St. Louis, there is a major possibility the Seattle Kraken might come into play and take him for free.
