Well, it looks like Conor McGregor and Dustin Poirier will both get their way. UFC President Dana White told ESPN’s’ Get Up on Friday that “When you have two guys that are in their positions, Poirier being No. ranked guy and Conor NO. 6 and they want a trilogy you got to go with the trilogy. We’re probably going to try to put that fight together this summer.”
Conor McGregor is desperate to avenge his stunning loss to Poirier, which went down last month at UFC 257. Poirier knocked McGregor out in the second round. For Poirier, this makes dollars and cents and will certainly be for the UFC Lightweight title.
