Dana White is Not a Liar…He’s The Best Promoter in the World you Idiots

Just when I thought 2021 couldn’t get any funnier, it does.

As if Dana White’s “Khabib will see if anyone impresses him” actually impresses at UFC 257 wasn’t hilarious enough, it appears that Khabib never even agreed to it. Yes, Khabib is still planning to stay retired and confirmed it yesterday at UFC Fight Island 8.

“My mother is the most precious thing I have left,” Nurmagomedov continued. “You won’t push me to do things that will disappoint my mother. I don’t even have plans for UFC in the near future. I don’t even have any thoughts about preparing for a fight. [I] saw how Umar was preparing now, and I thought, Alhamdulillah (praise be to God) I left it behind.”

What this Means

Now before all you soy-boys in the media and on Twitter start talking shit about “Dana lied to us,” he did not. He did what he had to do and promoted the brand.  I know Khabib was going to be there for his cousin anyway, but for him to show up with all the media around and have a very public private conversation with Dana White and the answer is “Nah” why not keep all the media hype and hysteria quiet and just message Dana or call him about your decision?.

Dana was protecting the energy and the momentum of this week, which will surely go down as the best seven-day stretch in the UFC history. Dana is the king of marketing and the king of fighting. Look at the state of boxing right now. Youtubers are invading the sport because there isn’t any talent to draw PPV numbers. Blame Khabib for showing up and making the week about him. But do not blame Uncle Dana for being the best promoter on earth. It’s now time for him to strip Khabib of the title and move forward. Remember, Dana is the best. Now shut up and buy the McGregor vs. Poirier 2 fight on Saturday.
