Not the start you wanted if you are a Bruins fan. Sunday marked the first game that either the Bruins or Flyers played that mattered in the standings. The last time there two teams played a game happened to be against each other back in March. Boston got destroyed in this game by a score of 4-1. Philadelphia’s goals were scored by Michael Raffl, Nate Thompson, Philippe Myers, and Scott Laughton. Chris Wagner had the lone goal for Boston.

The Flyers play today was near perfect. Carter Hart was spectacular, the defense was like a brick wall, and the goal-scoring touch was on point. The Bruins seemed slow, out of shape, and clearly behind Philadelphia all game long. Halak looked sloppy in goal and Torey Krug was invisible in his own end. The Bruins play Tampa Bay next on Wednesday and the Flyers get ready for Washington on Thursday.
