Hurricanes Win First Bubble Hockey Playoff game Over Rangers

Carolina Hurricanes

We finally have playoff hockey again. The first game of the 2020 playoffs is complete. The Carolina Hurricanes defeat the New York Rangers 3-2 in Game 1 of their qualifier series. Such an amazing game to watch. We had big hits, a fight, and a goal within the first four minutes of action. Goals for Carolina came from Jacob Slavin, Sabastian Aho, and Martin Necas. The Rangers’ goals came from Mika Zibanejad and Marc Staal.

Overall exciting game. Tons of hits, tons of penalties, and plenty of saves. Lundqvist made 34 saves on 37 shots and Mrazek made 24 saves on 26 shots. Carolina takes a 1-0 series lead over New York and game two will be Monday, August 3rd, at noon ET. Rangers have some serious work to do on their outlet passes and execution. No power-play goals on seven tries is not a good look. Great series ahead if it is anything like today. We love it here at T.O.H.
