“I Think Khabib Is Afraid To Fight Me” – Conor McGregor

The “Notorious” Conor Mcgregor is just seven days away from a rematch against Dustin Porier, but that has not stopped the Irishmen from looking ahead to a future rematch with Khabib Nurmagomedov. “I think he’s afraid to fight me, that’s for damn sure, and I don’t blame him,” McGregor said with an air of confidence to ESPN’s Ariel Helwani. “I fought the best of him on that night; he fought the worst of me on that night. He knows it, I know it, his team knows it. I have the answer to destroy that man. He can pull the wool over people’s eyes for only so long. It is what it is.”

While I am not sure overlooking a new and improved Dustin Porier is a great idea, Mystic Mac wasn’t lying when he said Khabib fought the worst version of himself. You can clearly see it in McGregors promo that he is in top shape.

The real question is, why would Khabib give him a shot at redemption? After the manner in which Khabib handled Conor, I really don’t see the benefit for Khabib to do it again. This is a man who apparently promised his mother he wouldn’t fight anymore. If he does one more fight for his legacy, I think Khabib will choose to fight someone he respects. Whatever happens, I know that the next three weeks in the UFC are guaranteed to be an absolute electric factory.
