This is a pretty gutless play by Fiala. He knows Roy is face-first towards the boards and proceeds to push his body headfirst into the dasher. After all the evidence was analyzed, the DoPS seems to have gotten this one right. Roy is a defenseless player that had no chance of saving himself from the hit. These are the type of hits that can end someone’s career.
In eight games this season, Fiala has three goals and zero assists for three points. He also has 23 penalty minutes. Fiala is playing on the dangerous side this season. He is more than capable of scoring a crucial goal for your team. The Wild are rolling along this season. Fiala will miss three games against Colorado.
