Kreider Scores Hat Trick, Rangers Smoke Devils 6-1

Kreider hat-trick

Chris Kreider

There is one thing that is certain with the Rangers. That thing is that they are really fortunate Chris Kreider re-signed with their team before the deadline last season. Kreider has been on fire to start the season this year. Heading into tonight, he eclipsed the double-digit goal total and had ten goals. He made sure to pad those stats as the Rangers took on the Devils. The Rangers get a much-needed victory and part of that is because Kreider scores a hat-trick. This is Kreider’s second hat-trick in the last five games for the Rangers.

This now puts Kreider at thirteen goals on the season in just twenty-one games played. At this pace, he will surpass the total goal amount he had last season (24). With the win, the Rangers improve to 9-9-3 and still sit six points out of a playoff spot. They have had a slow start to the season, but have picked up the play these last few weeks. It helps when you seem to get a Kreider hat-trick every other game.

The Rangers also got goals Pavel Buchnevich (7), Brendan Smith (2), and Alexis Lafreniere (4). It is nice to see the rookie get on the board once again. The Devils are starting to slip away after playing some great hockey fresh off their “COVID vacation”. The season is looking like a lost cause for them and it is time to look forward to next season.
