Kobe Bryant
It is no question that Kobe Bryant is one of the greatest players in NBA history. He inspired so many people on and off the court with his knowledge of the game and his enthusiasm to grow the game larger than it ever was before. He played his entire career in a Lakers jersey and captured five titles.
Kobe tragically passed away last January in a helicopter crash on his way to his daughter’s basketball game. His legacy still lives on in the minds of many and it continued before the Lakers’ season opener against the Clippers. The players were given their rings for last year’s championship and it has a few tributes to the Black Mamba himself.

Kobe is arguably the best Laker in their history. His death hit deep to many and it is such a great story to see the Lakers pay tribute to one of the best ever. The mamba snake wrapped around the player’s number and the emphasis on Kobe’s two retired numbers inside the ring is amazing. Big shoutout to the Lakers for this move. He may be gone, but he will never be forgotten. Rest In Peace Black Mamba.
