Marchand, Bruins Hold Off Lightning For Game 1 Win

Brad Marchand

This is by far going to be the most interesting series of teh four remainings. Tampa Bay and Boston have no problem going at it on the ice and on twitter. Tonight was the start of what will be a very long and entertaining series between the two clubs. Behind some strong play by the Bruins first line and goalie Jaroslav Halak, the Bruins held off a late Tampa Bay surge to take game one 3-2. Charlie Coyle, David Pastrnak, and Brad Marchand scored the goals for Boston. Victor Hedman scored both goals for Tampa Bay.

When the first line for Boston is on, they are really fun to watch. This setup on the eventual game-winner for Marchand was a thing of beauty. Game two between these clubs will be Tuesday, August 25th, at 7 p.m EST. Will Tampa bounce back better than ever or will Boston take a commanding 2-0 series lead? We will just have to wait and see.
