Morgan Rielly Leads The Way As The Leafs Cruise Past The Montreal Canadiens

Toronto Maple Leafs defensemen Morgan Rielly missed 23 games this season and had only been back one game from injury before the NHL season was forced to halt due to COVID-19. Tonight Rielly showed the hockey world that when healthy the 26-year-old puck mover is one of the best two-way defensemen in the game, leading the Toronto Maple Leafs to a 4–2 victory over the Montreal Canadiens.

Alex Kerfoot also scored two goals and was a penalty killing machine tonight scoring a shorthanded goal that he had no idea he scored, it was fantastic haha.

while at times tonight the Leafs defense looked a bit lost, I think there were a ton of positives to take out of this game including the play of rookie Nick Robertson. The rookie picked up an assist after ripping up the OHL this past season with the Peterborough Petes and at times was able to show off his blazing speed. One thing is for sure, Toronto Maple Leafs fans will be sleeping sweet and sound tonight, the buds looked fantastic.
