The Patriots continue to add pieces on a huge day of Free Agency for them. Ever since Bill Belichick has taken over the GM moves for the Patriots, they have been relatively quiet early on in Free Agency. After a season that saw them finish with a 7-9 record, Bill is making every stride to turn this team around. The biggest weakness of the Patriots last year was their offense. They haven’t had a great group of wide receivers since the 2018 season. With the future of Julien Edelman in question, the Patriots make a splash with a wide receiver. Nelson Agholor has signed a two-year deal with the Patriots.
Nelson Agholor is best known for his time in Philadelphia. He was part of the Eagles team that took down these Patriots in Super Bowl LII. Nelson Agholor is best known as a down-field threat who was a ton of speed. After his tenure in Philadelphia ended, he signed in Las Vegas last season. His impressive seasons make him earn a well-deserved pay increase with his new contract. Nelson Agholor will be earning $13 million per season in New England.
Patriots are giving former Raiders’ WR Nelson Agholor a two-year, $26 million deal, per source.

Nelson Agholor was selected in the first round (20th overall) by Philadelphia back in 2015. In his career, he has 272 receptions and 26 touchdowns. After one season in Las Vegas, Nelson Agholor tied his career-high for touchdowns in a single season (8), but that isn’t all. He was second in the entire NFL for yards per catch among qualified receivers (18.7 YPC). He only trailed Valdez-Scantling of Green Bay
It is clear Bill Belichick is going all in this season. With all the moves the Patriots have made today, I would be shocked if they didn’t do something insane at the draft. Agholor is a great pickup by New England, but they seem to not be done there.
