College basketball in the Big 10 has been a bloodbath this season, and Ohio State is dealing with it now.
The #9 Iowa Hawkeyes knocked off the #4 Ohio State Buckeyes 73-57 on Sunday. This is Ohio State’s third loss in a row, coming off losses to Michigan and Michigan State.

Throughout this losing streak, the Buckeyes have shown their struggles with guarding in the post. Once again, that showed with Luka Garza putting up 24 points and 11 rebounds on a 10-16 shooting. The Hawkeyes were also given a great boost from Joe Wieskamp. Wieskamp ended the game with 19 points, shooting 5-9 from three. This was a big win for the Hawkeyes, after losing in their previous matchup to Michigan. Iowa has matchups with Nebraska and Wisconsin to finish their regular season.

Along with struggles in the paint, OSU had a tough time finding open shots. Duane Washington Jr. had a cold night, with only 7 points on 3-10 shooting. Overall, the Buckeyes shot 5-17 from three and turned the ball over 13 times. This led to a 14 point deficit by halftime and little change in the second half.
Ohio State has a matchup with Illinois to finish off their regular season. With Illinois currently projected to be a 1 seed in March Madness, this should be a good regular-season finale.
