Jim Rutherford continues to make moves as today, according to Kevin Weeks of NHL.com, today they have moved forward Patric Hornqvist to the Florida Panthers in exchange for defenseman Mike Matheson. Matheson had 20 points in 59 games last year and will plug a hole for the penguins on the back half of the ice where they had struggled all season long. Hornqvist will be missed as he was a great Penguin for the last six years, but this move allows the penguins to save almost one-million in cap space. Jimmy Rutherford isn’t done dealing yet. There are still moves to be made in Pittsburgh. Stay tuned.
