Corey Davis was the 5th overall pick in the 2017 NFL Draft to the Tennessee Titans. He spent four years with the Titans and produced career highs this season. In 56 career games, Davis has 2,851 receiving yards and 11 touchdowns. This past season Davis caught 5 touchdown passes and totaled 984 receiving yards.
Davis is entering his age 26 season and at the moment will be receiving passes from Sam Darnold. A true number one receiver is something that has been lacking for Darnold so the Jets seem to think that Davis can help Darnold and the rest of the Jets offense. Good on the Jets for going out and getting someone that they can rely on to catch passes consistently. His catch rate has steadily improved each year in the league and he should improve on the 70.7% catch rate he had this past season.
