TMZ released a video that catches country music star Morgan Wallen using the N-word. Wallen says that he is “embarrassed and sorry I used an unacceptable and inappropriate racial slur that I wish I could take back. There are no excuses to use this type of language, ever. I want to sincerely apologize for using the word. I promise to do better.”
Let’s be honest. The dude is from Tennessee. How surprised are we really? But I don’t really think he’s sorry for using the word; I think he’s sorry because he got caught using the word.
This is not the first time that Wallen has seen his name in the media. He was slated to be a guest on SNL but got the ax after a video surfaced of him partying in a bar without a mask on kissing several different women. Then he was given another chance a few weeks later.
He just released a new album just a few weeks ago. But now, numerous radio stations and radio DJs are taking his music off their playlist entirely. And right now, I can’t blame them. The dude is starting to sell out into this pop-country that is taking over the radio. But it is probably for the best that his names stay out of the general public.
Wallen has got to stop worrying about somebody else’s problem and start worrying about his own.
